We have a children's sermon during the service each week.
Confirmation classes for 6th & 7th graders meet during the week.
Acolytes
Acolytes are children (ages 6-14) who help with the service. This is often their first participation in worship life. Duties include lighting and extinguishing altar candles and handing the offering plates to the greeters. The pastor trains and schedules the children. Schedules are made for 3 months at a time. If a child can’t be there for his/her assigned Sunday, the child or his/her parents should try to find a substitute.
Youth Ministry
The youth of Trinity participate in various activities while they have fun with one another and serve in Christ’s name.Youth ministry is conducted through the East Bay Lutheran Youth Program (EBLYP) to provide activities, Bible study, and Christian education for elementary school, middle school and high school youth during the school year. Congregations in Alameda and Oakland are part of this ministry, which is led by Pastor Craig Minich and includes regular meetings and special events. A calendar is included in the Trinity Builder.
